Theatres in Early England



We know that Thomas killgrew was a theatre owner and served for king Charles the second. The theatre was for both the well off, and the average citizen. This explains much of the content for those days, and who the playwrights were catering to.

The printing press played a vital role in making plays, along with other documents, easier to reach the masses. People started to write in phonetically.
